History

The College of Economics and Management of Northwest A&F University can be traced back to the Agricultural Economics Group established in 1936 by the former National Northwest A&F College. It is the earliest training base for agricultural economics and management talents established by the modern agriculture economists Nan Bingfang, Liu Xiaoran,and Zhang Decui in northwest China. Later, it was inherited and developed by famous agricultural economists Wan Jianzhong, Wang Guangsen, etc., and made outstanding contributions in talent training, scientific research, social services, cultural inheritance, international communication and cooperation, etc. Its graduate program started in the 1960s, and the first PhD student was recruited in 1985.
